Jeannine “GiGi” Lewis

Club Etiquette Founding Director, Houston, TX

I can’t live without: my friends, jazz, blues, Broadway music and exercising.

I wish I’d better understood: the laws of cause and effect.  I am still studying that, and
sharing it with my students.

Last major purchase: Just before a party, I bought patio furniture and a gazebo. Exciting, isn’t it?

One thing I never want to do again: Go to Morocco.  It is scary being a young
American woman there.  I was in my 20’s and didn’t understand the culture.

If I could be totally wild, I would: Learn how to fly a jet, take a break from
work and travel the world with my husband for a year or two.

I still can’t get the hang of: ice skating without falling to my knees.

I am guilty of: Continuously looking for ways to improve myself and my work.

If I could do it all over again: I would have become a doctor.

Something most people don’t know about me: I am brutally honest and I LOVE to laugh.

Favorite web site: Why, skirt.com, of course!

What keeps me awake at night: a good book or word game.

My work: Etiquette, Image, Cotillions, www.clubetiquette.com.

My favorite possession: my laptop.

My hometown: Amite, Louisiana, but I have lived in Houston since 1978, much longer than I lived there.

My best friend says I am: always looking for the best in people.

The best thing I ever won: a trip to Washington, D.C.

I am most proud of: my family.
