On KUHF This Friday

Baby I'm a Star!

I am very excited to share some thrilling news. More than a year ago I submitted an essay to NPR for the “This I Believe” series. I didn’t hear back from them for a long time and then this year the local KUHF station contacted me. My essay was chosen for the local “This I Believe” series. I went in and recorded the essay and they told me it would probably air in May.

Well today I received word that my essay is scheduled to air this Friday!  The first airing is scheduled for 6:35 am and it’s to repeat at 4:44 pm.  My text, photo and the audio link will be posted on their on-line archive early Friday morning at kuhf.org.  The link to the audio can be heard anytime online after Friday. If you’re in Houston, tune into 88.7 FM either Friday morning or afternoon to hear me live. Or log on to kuhf.org to hear it later.

This is very significant for me because as a writer I am always looking for ways to add to my writer’s resume. This essay, along with writing for skirt! online, is providing me with some great new experiences.  So thank you dear readers for providing me with this experience, by just reading me here.
