I am guilty of: Having a short attention span, getting bored easily.
I’m thinking about: Renovating historic houses in Houston and in the country.
The world would be a better place, if only: People had smaller egos and bigger hearts.
Words I live by: I TRY to live by this quote from John Wesley: “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.” At least I look at it every day. It’s a very tall order!
Something most people don’t know about me: I put myself through graduate school and I was so poor that I only had two pairs of shorts and jeans, and I had to stop getting my hair cut because it cost $15.
My mother always said: “Everything in moderation,” “Always look your best,” “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” She was very prolific with the advice.
The worst idea I’ve ever had: Sponge painting my bedroom myself.
My family: Husband David, son Thomas (17), daughter Grace (15).
My passion: Massage, of course! I get one a week.
My favorite possession: Our little farm in the rolling hills near New Ulm, TX. It’s not just a possession, it’s a mini-vacation.
My hometown: Big “H” town.
My best friend says I am: Intense yet with a good sense of humor. I love to laugh at myself.
