marketing+events 4 small businesses
A native of SF, I moved to Houston August 2006. I'm The eldest of three sisters and a brother. I's Called L-E-V-E-R-A-G-E People

Monday, June, 30, 2008

“I’d rather have 1% of 100 people’s efforts than 100% of my own.” Those are the famous words of the late Andrew Carnegie. Though I believe John Gotti said that same thing at one point. Doesn’t that quote make perfect sense? Have you ever watched or had the privilege of being a part of a production that required the efforts of many; a fashion show, a luncheon, a party or other event catering to a group anywhere from 50-1,000’s of people? It’s magic. For small businesses to be successful the implementation of leverage is critical. For example, I know of a marketing agency that is associated with several of it’s local chambers and other professional/social groups. Whenever that agency hosts an event, because of it’s relationship with those groups (leverage) it can rely on those groups to assist in marketing its events. And the examples continue. Ever heard the saying that your net work is your net worth? That simply means that the more people that you know in various fields, the more likely you are to get your personal and business needs met by reliable sources, as opposed to doing all of the research and foot work alone. This frees the business owner up execute other business matters. My message: leverage the resources of friends, family, colleagues, business resources, and others to assist you in reaching your personal and professional goals. Check back to learn about creating win-win relationships with others!
