Crawfish, turtles and other wetland creatures will be the guests of honor at the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center’s annual Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Fun activities for the whole family will include: a puzzle hike to visit an Arboretum pond, children’s “Crawfish Crawl” and “Race to Recycle” activities, carnival games, face painting, kids’ zip line, live music, and hayride.

Hanh Tran will debut original oil paintings at Artful Justice, exhibition and charity auction at Mixed Emotions Fine Art, located at 95 Tuam near Taft. All proceeds from the silent auction and raffle will benefit Justice for Children, a non-profit organization that advocates for the safety and protection of criminally abused children when the system designed to protect them fails to do so, leaving the child at unacceptable risk.

Tran will premiere recent original oil paintings, several of which will be donated to the silent auction. Admission to the event is free offering complimentary valet parking and food. Capone's will provide hors d'oeuvres as the food sponsor and a cash bar will offer wine and cocktails featuring Tito's Vodka.
